Additional Info
Devious was born and raised in the SF Bay Area, where at an early age he began having a love for electronic music. Among the early DJ's he listened to were DJ Dan, DJ Icey, and Tony Faline to name a few. However, soon only listening to the music wasn't enough for him. Devious decided to take up actual DJ'ing, buying his very first set of turntables.

He began playing with no longer practicing DJ 210, but when his passion for the tables kept growing, Devious realized that he wanted to play with a group of people that had as much love and respect for the music as he did. Fortunately, about four and a half years ago he came upon Emerge and A-Wal of the Disfunktion Crew, and the rest was history. Emerge saw his potential and enthusiasm and helped him grow as a DJ on many levels. Devious credits the members of Disfunktion Crew as being his greatest inspiration. Since joining the crew, Devious has played at many local bars and clubs, including the Forum in Sunnyvale, Glo & Fahrenheit in San Jose, Sno Drift in San Francisco, San Fransisco LoveFest '06, and many exclusive parties. He has established his sound as what can be described as all out "Nu Skool Funk", with a touch of the occasional funky house track. "I try to feed off the crowd's energy and then return it back many times over in my sets. I like to let the crowd feel and hear that I appreciate their energy and hype them up as much as possible, so that we can both walk away having had a great time".

Most recently Devious has been concentrating on producing his own tracks, working with an array of synths, beats, vocals, and bass lines. Also, in June of 2005, Devious took part in the "Breakbeat Championship" on DJForums.com and made it to the semi-final round, placing third in a series of mix submissions that were put against other DJ's within the breakbeat genre, including fellow crew members Emerge and Atimatik. Devious is also an accomplished web and graphic designer.
